Love this guy. I even cryed when I said goodbye to him after being his teacher for 3 years. He even would come to my classes when I was teaching other groups. He would miss his classes for mine. Soooo cute.

Adoro a este gurí. Hasta lloré el día que tuve que despedirme de él luego de ser su profesora por 3 años. Él hasta venía a mis clases cuando yo no estaba trabajando con su grupo. Se perdía sus clases por venir a las mías. Divino.

Y finalmente desde el parador sacamos una foto del penitente. Son esas rocas en la punta del cerro que parecen dos manos haciendo penitencia (al estilo religioso). Luego de haber paseado por todo el lugar, nos fuimos a tomar el desayuno, y tener esta otra vista.

And finally from the cafeteria we took a pic of el penitente (that who is in penace). it's those rocks behind us, on the top of the hill that remind us of the hands of someone in penace (the religious style). After we went up and down seeing everything, we went to have breakfast and have this other wonderful view.

2do paseo del día - 2nd trip of the day.

Fuimos al salto de agua. Fueron kilómetros y kilómetros como para un rally, que no sé cómo el auto resistió. Pero valió la pena. El Penitente en medio de las sierrras... priceless.

We went to the water fall. They were miles and miles done in an aweful road, ready for a rally. But it was worth it. The Penintente in the middle of the rocky hills... priceless.

Mi abuelo trabajó en la construcción del caballo durante la dictadura. Era empleado de la intendencia en ese entonces.

3er día, dos paseos - 3rd day, two trips.

So here we were at Artigas hill, and as you will see, that is the biggest statue of a man in a horse in latin america. Also, for those curious, Artigas is the only lati hero whose statue is in Washington. And no, I am not sure how to feel about that.

Acá estamos en el cerro Artigas, y como se puede ver, es el monumento ecuestre más grande de américa latina. Para aquellos interesados, Artigas es el único prócer americano cuyo busto se puede observar en Washington. Y no, no sé como sentirme al respecto todavía.
